A pier is a mooring point situated in a port that serves towards loading and unloading. At our pier we dock video and audio, merge them to form a whole, and ship what we’ve set our hearts on: good films.
PIER 53 develops documentaries and features for public service TV broadcasting networks and feature-length documentary films for movie-theater distribution. Our productions have been awarded many prizes, they ran at major festivals in Germany and abroad, and were box-office successes.
PIER 53 produces at its own editing suite in Hamburg, Germany. We equally support colleagues of ours in developing their own film projects in a capacity as creative producer and take on the production of those projects, especially in the field of documentary films.
