600,000 tons of electronic waste are incurred in Germany each year: a scrapheap with a weight equivalent to 10 million washing machines. But why do we throw away more today than ever before? For their documentary TOSS IT OUT, BUY NEW (original title: SCHMEISS WEG, KAUF NEU) the reporters ask uncomfortable questions and reveal the backgrounds at large. Their film shows why repairing hardly pays off for the industry anymore.
